I will create a peaceful and meaningful experience, ensuring that your loved one’s wishes are respected and their needs are met. From helping them create a legacy project to facilitating meaningful conversations with loved ones, my work is focused on comfort, connection, and understanding as their advocate.
“End-of-life doulas provide companionship, comfort, and guidance to those facing a terminal illness or death. Our non-medical holistic support encompasses emotional, spiritual, and practical care. We offer resources to help the dying person, along with their family and loved ones, make informed decisions in a supportive environment.” – Indela.org.
A birth doula is experienced in childbirth and provides emotional and physical support to a mother before, during and after childbirth. An EOL doula is a person experienced in deathbed guidance. The doula provides information along with emotional and physical support to an actively dying person and to the loved ones present before, during and after a death.
There is no right or wrong way to live through this final time in a person’s life. Most of us experience shock, numbness and feel directionless. We are not given classes or instructions on what to do when someone we love is dying. Shock and numbness are normal reactions. However, acknowledging and releasing the feelings by crying, laughing, shaking, yawning helps to release the emotions. This helps. I can help.
“Dementia Doulas provide a professionalised compassionate care approach to better support families and those impacted by advancing dementia, to prepare them for what’s to come so that everyone can come back to living for today.” – DementiaDoulas.com
